Project Description:
In response to the increasing demand for quality healthcare in Charlotte, North Carolina, Atrium Health, a leading healthcare facilitator, decided to expand its infrastructure. The Palmetto Tower is an 8-story, 236,000 sq. ft. patient bed tower, part of a multi-campus expansion. This expansion aimed to address the needs of the fast-growing metropolitan city and ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. The organization built four facilities accommodating 500 licensed patient beds, including patient care and rehabilitation.
SurePods Scope:
SurePods provided patient bathroom pods for 108 rooms for this campus. SurePods was involved in three of the multi-campus expansion to simplify and streamline the patient bathrooms to be precisely the same for all projects.
In the preconstruction phase, SurePods created two mockups for the Atrium team to decide if they wanted to use epoxy or tile flooring. Ultimately, they went with epoxy after experiencing the two mockups.
