Project Description:
The Women’s Tower, which was part of a $151 million expansion project, consisted of five additional stories over existing two-story portion of the hospital. This expansion increased bed capacity and housing for Banner Health.
While this expansion project began in 2021, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, SurePods was still able to execute smoothly and safely. The structure of the building uses sideplate connections rather than traditional welding, which sped up the construction process and was safer to use over an active and operational hospital. This project was one of the first projects produced out of the SurePods West facility in Phoenix, AZ.
