Project Description:
The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Center for Advanced Pediatrics is a 260,000-sq.-ft. outpatient facility housing multiple pediatric clinics and services, offering specialties such as ENT, general surgery, and cardiology. The building features amenities like a café, conference rooms, and mother’s rooms. This project also achieved a LEED Gold certification.
The relentless effort by our sales team, the professionalism and responsiveness of our estimating and management team, and the excellent reputation we are building in healthcare due to everyone’s contribution, the contractor elected to make a change and award the project to SurePods. Pods were installed on 10 floors across two wings, with one wing utilizing a tower crane and the other employing a crawler for the installation process.
We recognized that nesting the pods back to back was necessary to achieve tight tolerances during installation. We left half an inch of space between each pod to ensure sufficient clearance (air-gap).
Additionally, we carefully selected various types of studs for the nested pods to avoid any possible coordination or installation problems. Using REVIT and BIM coordination, we pinpointed the connection points for all systems, including nurse call, critical power, and toilet supplies, ensuring seamless integration
