Project Description:

MVHS Wynn Hospital located in Downtown Utica, stands at 702,000 sq. ft. and 10 stories high with a total of 343 SurePods patient bathrooms.

The bathroom pods designed for the Behavioral Health Unit had special specifications to meet in order to comply with the New York State Office of Mental Health guidelines for anti-ligature and tamper-resistant components. This was the first project SurePods produced a fully anti-ligature pod, including handrails, floor drain, faucet, plastic mirror, prison-style toilet, and more. 31 of the 343 patient bathroom pods were anti-ligature, while the rest were standard patient wetrooms.
